From traditional to 21 century learning...
Growing up in Ethiopia for twelve years has taught me so many things when it comes to education. It is amazing to see the difference in education when comparing with the United States. For example, the amount of classes given are more and the hours for school is way longer. Also the resources for education is incredibly different. Here in the United States, getting an education for most is not very hard. But where I'm from, it is very difficult.

Sample of My Works
For my semester project, I worked on Sustainable furnishings with three other incredible team members. Within the project we had to use the design thinking method in order to deeply understand what environmental problem we are trying to solve.
Because of this project, I have learned time management, the use of recycled cardboard, team work, and interview skills. |
Doing the implementation phase has taught me how important design thinking can be when doing a project. Because of these phases, my team and I were able to stay on track and finish our project on time. This document shows the Innovation 2x2, which is one of the main steps in the implementation phase. The importance of Organization was very important when writing this document.
I have learned the use of photoshop and illustrator when making this poster. Seemed hard at first, but after playing around with it, it became more fun to use.
I have never done a Puchikucha presentation in my life until I joined this class. This type of presentation has helped me and has taught me to be organized, efficient, stay on topic, not lose my audience, and use my time wisely, as well as get right to the point. My topic was on Dissociative Personality Disorder. I enjoyed researching this topic and presenting it using the Puchikucha method. Because for once, I was actually well prepared and could see that I did not lose my audience.
